How much risk is selling in topicals?
 

Topicals is gated and I want to sell in it. Have a distributor may buy from and ask them to amend the invoice to my stealth address (So it will be accepted by amazon if I request to be ungated.)

However, does Amazon ever request additional documentation, now or down the road?

The goobers @ the seller forums are stating for topicals Amazon requires 1 of the 3:

i) Certificate of Analysis (COA)
ii) FDA orange book application number
iii) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate

How ever, I do not see this in the topicals approval request as seen below:

They can always request for invoices down the road...

I know...but im asking if extra stuff can come up such as:

i) Certificate of Analysis (COA)
ii) FDA orange book application number
iii) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate

Or say a suspension and demand for these above documents if you sell on topicals. None of the above docs are in the approval request.

I think you should ask on AMZN seller forum,some one may know enough to help you.
You should also ask your supplier if he can provide

experienced Amazon seller here. Been selling on regular account on Amazon for 3 years now.

Amazon will NOT ask for those additional documents down the road. only time you need them is when you create your own product and introduce it to the marketplace. If you are listing existing items then there will be no need for those additional documents.

Bingo. Thank you. Do you sell in topicals? Any ASIN's you recommended I buy from to create an invoice from a supplier to get ungated?

renenutet is correct, they won't ask for those specific docs again after you've been approved for the brand or category

but invoice requests can always be asked for, at any point
