lilblu | 07-19-2019 06:44 PM | Using Old Credit Card Numbers I'm new here and I hope it's ok to ask this particular question as I'm not a seller or bulk buyer, just a regular Amazon customer. I figured someone here would be able to answer these questions.
I recently used my aunt's prime account (with her permission) to purchase an Amazon Fire TV stick and had it shipped to me as a gift. I don't want it attached to my account so I created a new Amazon account using my pet's name and used a new email address. I didn't realize I would need to enter credit card info to actually use Fire TV as I only intend to use the free apps.
So I ended up entering an old credit card number from 15-20 years ago. I think it was a Visa card and I only have a Mastercard now. They didn't need the CVV and accepted the expiration date. If I accidentally make a purchase (I hate mandatory 1-click ordering for apps), will it go through on that card? I worry about getting in trouble.
Is there another way to enter credit card info so that if I accidentally purchase something, it won't go through? I just don't want to accidentally purchase something and end up with a bunch of charges. I've heard stories . . .
Thanks, and I apologize for such a stupid question. Love this forum though. |
