New phone number can’t log to Amazon UK
 

As per the title.
Two step verification enabled on account via phone number.
That number is no longer available.
Spoke to support, they said I need to send in photo id to reset phone number.
I bought the account here, so I don’t have the ID needed and the seller doesn’t seem to be active anymore.

Any ideas please? Otherwise it’s £500 wasted :(

The phone bill for this number is £650 - so it’s going to be cheaper to buy another account. I hadn’t used this account to sell anything yet, so no major loss on that front. It’s more about the money.

100% agree on the Authenticator app. It’s the way to go in future.

The seller doesn’t seem to be active here anymore and his email just bounces back (It was Elmo, but looking at his profile he hasn’t been online for months)

If anyone has a document service please pm me. The only issue is going to be the photo I would guess.....
