Dropshipping from Amazon, need a fix for Gift Card problem
 

My wife and I have been dropshipping from Amazon for a while now. It has worked well for us. We are buying high-quality discount Gift Cards (with as much verification we can get) and then redeeming them on Amazon.

Recently, they closed an account down with high sales volume. We opened a new account, eventually, that one closed, and then each newer account are closed too.

We recently went through some serious medical issues and this is all we have. We need to keep our sales channels working.

So, I don't know what I need from this site, but someone has got to be using gift cards or another medium to increase their margins.

If anyone can point us in the right direction, that be great. We would be forever grateful and hopefully, pass on a tip or two in exchange.

How many purchases are you making a day? How long do these accounts last before they are closed down? Is Amazon confiscating your gift cards or just closing accounts? Are you using real credit card info or VCC? Provide more details so we can assist you.

The stealth process won't solve his problem. This is a recent and systemic issue at amazon right now affectingly virtually everyone. You can do everything right in the account creation process and still be shut down.

Officially dead. Went to sign up for prime on a new account, it passed the initial authorization and I had prime activated. 5 minutes later prime was suspended to due to a billing issue. I've used over 30 of these in the past and this is the first time I have had a problem. I'm also told 2nd hand that Amex gift cards, which have no AVS, also are no longer working. Sad times.

Our first account lasted for like 6 months. It was an aged account with real identification. We ran mid-six digits through that account. It was working fine that whole time, then just stopped. We had two other accounts, both ran similarly. One lasted another month. The next one like a week. Then the last two within 24 hrs were shutdown.

Most of the accounts had gift cards use blocked. The aged account allowed us to use the remaining balance. Two of the new accounts were just shut down and can't login. We also had a business account that ran for a while and then had password/login issues that can never get resolved.

So its 6 accounts total. The new accounts and business account can't be accessed at all. The older personal accounts can be used but no gift card. The real accounts all had real credit cards. The last test run didn't have prime, so no card needed. About 100.00 of gift cards were redeemed and it shut down.

Most of the gift cards, about a grand in all, were lost.

What do you mean when you say gift card use is blocked? The account will not let you apply gift cards?

Are you having this issue for non prime accounts? If I saw my gift card functionality had been removed, I’d be very weary about using that account.

If your account is suspended for gift card abuse, or gift card is blocked, then a solid POA can definitely help reinstate the account

They would reinstate our gift card use with just a POA? Then what sort of gift cards can we go on to use? Wouldn't that just get us blocked again?

Do you have proof of Amazon reinstating accounts with Gift Card bans? Is there a way Amazon let's certain accounts use Gift Cards?

I WOULD Think if you have an AMZN account and been using your credit card/bank account and someone gives you a gift card,you can use it.
but if your AMZN account uses giftcards only and send your purchases as gift to all over the world,then it is obvious AMZN knows you are a dropshipper.
Did AMZN ban all your accounts because you use gift cards or because you are a dropshipper or both?
How is the return rate from your buyers?

The solution for all of us will be to determine how to appear like a normal user. This may mean working some CC purchases with the accounts. How exactly this will work logistically, I am unsure, as I do not find it to be a solution as scale.

what is POA?
A local accountant told me he knows a person who makes 20k a month dropshipping from AMZN ,and the average profit is 40 cents per order,where does he have time to place orders ?Dont tell me there are APPs or Bots which can do it.

Everything points to gift card usage, but it could be shipping to all of the different addresses. Any suggestion on how to tell?

Our return rates are very low.

I know many Ebay sellers are doing AMZN to Ebay dropshipping but they dont talk about it

Yes of course there are bots that make purchases.... Are people really making manual purchases? It's not just gift cards though, accounts using no gift cards are getting closed I think. Also accounts not using prime are getting closed. I have had accounts using gift cards closed that are 100% valid gift cards. I just read an article about chinese sellers though that make accounts in bulk, buy their own product and send to real people's address randomly to make reviews. I think this abuse is possibly what triggered the recent crackdown. It is / was a big enough problem that the FTC had a warning about it. Just google "random amazon package".

Certainly don't know what the solution is though. I think your just going to have to make a ton of Amazon accounts, use small value gift cards and make 1 or 2 orders per account and possibly be prepared to charge back any giftcard that gets stolen by Amazon.

I just find out from another forum,dont know if you guys know already,AMZN now allows anyone to report AMZN prime members dropshipping from AMZN-

IF YOU would like to report that I suspect that an Amazon User is posing as a Seller on eBay and is using their Amazon Prime account to drop ship items for sale on eBay. This violates Amazon Prime rules (and eBay rules). If they are a legitimate Re-Seller that's fine but I received only gift receipts with the order so that seems to indicate they are misusing their Prime Account.
Gift Receipt numbers are:
(list 10 letter barcode)

It is on Ebay forum,but when I click on it,it asked me to sign in,then I sign in and then there are options like chat with us.
I think the lady who posted it did chat with AMZN and got the response I listed above.

could it be that AMZN does not like it because buyers do not have t o join prime to get items shipped free or cheap and shipping is a big expense for AMZN.
