Amazon asking my bank to send fax
 

Amazon is asking to me to conctact the bank and have them send by fax my credit card information. Is that even possible? This is not a stealth account, is valid account and all the information is real, just don’t understand why they are asking my bank to send it. Bank is Bofa. This is the email I received:

We have not been able to confirm the billing details for your card VISA ending in XX. Please contact the card issuer and have them send the information below to our secure fax line:

-- The billing name and address that you registered to the card.
-- The last two digits of the payment card.

You will not be able to access your account and its Prime benefits or place orders with us until we confirm your information.

Any help with this? Is possible to make the bank have them send the information by fax?

always something new every day from AMZN,you will have to go to your bank and make sure they will do it,good luck

You can try sending the fax yourself and explaining in the email that they would not do it

Vast majority of banks will not fax statements to 3rd parties by policy and amazon knows this. Just another way to make restoring your account as difficult as possible.

he is in Venezuela.
You can try ,try to get the document written up first and see if a clerk would fax it ,else like the other said,you may have to fax it yourself outside the bank

Yes I am in Venezuela, but for me is impossible to go to the bank because the bank is Bofa. The story is that they have been suspending my account like every two weeks by making me change the password or call them. But at this time they are now requesting this. What I buy in amazon is only digital products that I sell here in Venezuela (psn cards, Xbox cards, Nintendo, Netflix, iTunes, etc) I have a store where I sell that and the exchange rate is profitable. I think that is the problem. I think they don’t like it.

Maybe I should print the first page of my credit card statement and send it via fax? Or do you recommend to write and send a letter with the info ?

amazon is as bad as a crooked cop thats it .you will never get ahead with this company never ever. to much drama

Only amazon can get away with treating customers and accounts the way they do. They have unfairly confiscated millions in gift balance. It's legal theft.
