Quick UK Passport Question
 

If a previous account was suspended about 10 years ago in which was verified with a passport, would there be any troubles opening a new account now with new computer, IP with a renewed passport and different home address etc under the same name and birthday?

May work, may not

The DOB and the name will be the same still, but new address and it being 10 years later does help.

Thank you, it would be in the near future for upgrading from sole trader, to a business account as currently the other director is registered legit. Presume they will have to know all information about all directors of the LTD company, we could not just give them one directors name etc.

Sorry when you say upgrading from a sole trader to a business, that doesnt really mean anything. You can be a sole trader using a business account

Are you swapping from a sole trader business account to a Lld business account?

Yes, James. Sorry for the confusion.

Currently a sole trader (director) account on AMZ, but will be changing it to business account (LTD has two directors including myself) for VAT reasons. The main worry was that one of the directors was previously suspended 10 years ago, thus losing the business account on AMZ.

With it being Amazon there is going to be a risk, they are very very hot on it. Its really down to if the risk is worth it or not for you.

If we just put one beneficiary would they investigate that there are two directors? Other option is to VAT register the sole trader.

One thing to consider (in your benefit) is that 10 years ago amazon didnt ask for DOB like they do now, so unless amazon enters this information manually when they reviewed your ID the algorithm is not likley going to "link you"

Example: 1. John Doe, Bithdate: N/A 2. John Doe, Birthdate: 1/1/1980

The algo would not blink an eye on two of the same names, but same birthday it increases the chances. Same goes for the same middle name, but im not sure if Amazon tracks this as well (they defintley dont make you enter it) so it may not be tracked. It may never be a variable except during a manual review when the algo flags your account and a human looks at both passports on both accounts and sees its the same person.

My current stealth account uses my real name and new passport.
