Amazon AVS Check System
 

I created a new amazon stealth buyer account. I have everything new, but the only thing I can't change is the credit card (which is prepaid) billing address.

Does it really matter?

I read AVS gives this code when the credit card is a NON-US credit card:

G - Credit card issuing bank is of non-U.S. origin and does not support AVS

So, if the system doesn't check address of non-US cards, when I'm registering my credit card to buy on amazon, I can put whatever address I want right?

And also having in consideration it's a prepaid credit card. I need to know if I can write any address and payment will be ok anyway.

does anybody knows?

I have only lost gift card balance once to Amazon and it was for using a VCC that failed AVS. Tread lightly my friend. I wouldn't recommend orders over $300.00, and would consider orders $50-$100 safe in my experience. Feel free to PM me to discuss this matter further.

How dou you certainly know it failed AVS?

I'm not planning on using gift cards any more, that's a dead end alley.

Of course not... it's a stealth account.

I have reported as lost all the credit cards used in the old suspended account, and got all new card numbers...

As I said, the only thing I can't change is the billing address, that's why I want to know if AVS system actually check for address when the card is NON-USA.

If you order something they will lock your account:

If the card was issued in the US, please reply to this email with the billing name, address, and phone number registered to the card.

If the card was not issued in the US, please attach a recent card billing statement to your email response and ensure the following are visible:
- The last four digits of the card ONLY. For your security, do not include full card or account numbers.
- Billing name and address
- If included in your billing statement, also include your phone number

To prevent unauthorized account activity, ensure that you reply from the email address registered to your Amazon.com account. Our account specialists will review the information provided and respond to you within 24 hours.


So i guess you must change your adress somehow

They must have way to verify foreign address,what do all these foreign merchants do when some local cardholder come to the store and buy things?
