Amazon verification
Just wondering if amazon is able to check the utility bill is real or not? Do they contact utility company and checking if this person lives at given address? Or just checking if document was photoshopped or not? Anyone knows?
Also what is it exactly “certified bank letter”? For one of the accounts i provided stamped letter from the bank showing logo name address etc. but they rejected it few times saying it is not certified bank letter , incorrect document.. anyone having same problem with “certified bank letter”?? i’m stuck..

US verification is having tons of issues currently
UK verification should be smoother, and they typically just look at the quality of the information being submitted |

You need to request this at your branch.
The document must meet all the criteria listed below. - Dated within the last 90 days.
- Signed or stamped by the bank.
- Shows the bank name or logo.
- Confirms the address, bank account number, and account holder’s name (Primary contact person).

| I dont know about UK,but in USA,certified letter means it is signed by the recipient,so your certified bank letter would be signed by the banker.
You know when mailing,there is certifed letter vs registered letter |

There was a thread some time ago where a poster claimed that Amazon could glean a modicum of utility account validity by using an automated log in system which would fail if the basic account number was phake. But that was one company and even then it's unlikely Amazon would use it.
This 'Amazon will check, make sure your docs are perfect' scaremongering is to be expected I guess on a forums such as this, there are seller looking to promote themselves and their services.
Anyway, I am more likely correct that it is laughable to say Amazon check 9 out of 10 utility bills, never mind extract any personal account info from the company.
| Three of our accounts have been flagged for review last week. We sent utility bills from the same utility company with made up acct numbers and all three were reinstated yesterday and today. |

| It also depends from country - Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and a lot of other countries at this days can not verify seller acc even with real government document photos. |

Amazon do contact utility and it can be verified without talking to human over the call.
Utility bill can be verified by " account number and postal code."
Amazon will call the number of the letter and Press 1 to make a payment , please enter your account number, now please enter your post code.
Sorry we are unable to locate the account under the account number or postal code entered.

most supplier i have use been with problem recently also. i think they contact utility but no 9/10 time. maybe 3-4? |
