I know this is a stupid question but Amazon cant detect you by GPS location if you are using a cellphone/hotspot?

no they cant but the ip will give them your location

My mobile IPs oftentimes show location 2000 miles away. The IP location show does not matter.

They can see the location based on what you can see online if you look up the IP, and depending what IP tracking company they go with, there is usually a good amount of data, but not pin point accuracy as most of the info is outdated
