Amazon Buyer Locked (not shadow ban)
 

Anyone had a buyer account locked where you are able to login but not do much of anything? It does not give an incorrect password error like shadow ban, but rather tells you your account has been reviewed and cannot be unlocked at this point and to check email?

I have a buyer account like this at the moment. Called CS twice and the say they will get back to me in 24 hours and nothing happens.

Sausage what were your buying actions before this happened? Were you bypassing quantity limits across multiple accounts by chance?

No, not all all.

I just went to load money into my account and they blocked it.

Did they ask for any receipts and did you send them? I never was given a time frame in terms of when I would hear back from them.

I had this a few years back when I was buying a few gift cards in a row - I had to call in and the block was removed after a lot of explanation

It happened to me 4 weeks ago. I loaded 2 GC one 100$ and one for 50$. Then I ordered free trial Prime for 30 days, after couple minutes my account has been locked.

They want my credit card biling, my veryfied adress also.

I have sent to them couple times everything even my ID. all the time all my email have been rejected with the same return: "We were still unable to verify your ownership of the VISA ending ... "

This is ridiculous. I have my credit cards with my name on them, my billings with my name and adress also my ID and they couldnt verify my ownership.

My latest opinion on this if you get to the stage where Amazon is asking for credit card statements and other forms of proof of identity - then Amazon has decided they don't want your business. So sending in the documents they are asking for will be a waste of time, as they will just ignore you.

Sure, you can call in and say : "Yeah I'm a student (thanks for the free prime membership since I'm just a student) and oh yeah I like to buy lots of expensive electronics to send to all my friends!"

I'm sure they will immediately restore your account, apologize, and give you a free gift card for the trouble they caused you.

Replied with all correct info and still blocked

Account specialist is very trigger happy

My account has been reinstated. I dont know what happened maybe I have luck ...
