Trouble adding new product. UPC issue?

Getting error 5665 when trying to create a new listing using a $5 UPC

Guess amazon is cross checking GS1 and UPCs now? When the hell did this start??

Contacted seller support and they're saying I need to provide clear pictures of the product showing the brand name and UPC on it. Gay.

The hell are you guys doing? Do I need a different UPC source? Any solutions?
