EIN numbers

Was thinking about this...

If you have multiple accounts, and have an EIN for each of those accounts...

...what is stopping Amazon from looking up the EIN number and linking you that way?

If you are a single individual opening multiple EINs but still paying taxes...those EIN numbers are public record.

Can Amazon not see that these EINS are owned by the same person?

If you purchase the EbayStealth book it mentions, that Wyoming has privacy laws that can prevent it from being known, who the owner of the LLC is. Now me personally, I am opening an LLC in FL because that is my residing state and I honestly do not think having two seperate EIN's issued to two seperate LLC's will be a link, even if the two LLC's have the same owner. I may be wrong, somebody please correct me if you have any experience. i am in the process of filing for an LLC, just finished paperwork and will have it mailed out this week.

AMZ could always just ask for articles of incorporation showing board members / officers and any privacy laws such as using Wyoming wont prevent this doc request.

Personally im looking at doing an S-Corp in a none privacy law state.

I have never had problems with this, but did have them link an account that I wondered...how did they do that? and wondered if it was the EIN link.

I have had many accounts get banned, and then wait for the 90 days to get my money without any problems. It is only recently, as they made that change and started to hold monies that made me wonder.

I just had a recent account, though, come up for its 90 day release...and they did not make any link to any other account.

You'd have to think, though, if they really wanted to go this route, it would not be difficult to find that information. Sigh...I hate amazon.

I have not heard of a case in which amazon asked to know who are the exact people who are in this company. I think that they just do not care as long as you have an LLC.
