Importing goods from Alibaba directly to FBA - Custom fees?

Hello guys,

I am not from US and couldn't find real information on the internet, some says you have to pay custom fees some says there's zero fees.

I would like to import 1,000 PC of Jeans to Amazon FBA (Directly from China).

Does anyone did something similar before? Do you have to pay custom fees or there's no taxes?

it really depends.
This is something you'll need to work on with your supplier in China, they are the one that usually takes care of the exporting and they'll tell you if you'll need to pay custom taxes in USA.

you can search for US customs-clothing and get an idea.
If your Chinese vendor has been selling to US merchants,he should be able to tell you.

Just use third party service. There are forwarders who take care of this.

If this is a good selling product, I don't recommend shipping directly to Amazon. They've been known to go straight to the source on the label and cut the seller out. :(

But if it's just a mehhh product, go ahead.

I mean someone is selling on internet already,
contact your freight forwarder,they will tell you about US customs.
or if your ALIBABA vendor has been selling to US companies,he may be able to tell you.

US customs also have a website,look under clothing.
best is to ask a freight forwarder
