Wait time for IRS database propagation?
 

Curious to hear the exact time frame for the EIN and business I registered to propogate in the IRS database so Amazon can verify from their end. What is it, 30 days? 60 days?

Want to make sure I wait long enough so I dont get a dreaded not matched error on Amazons end.

As far as I'm aware, it's instant, and any other time frame given is a myth. It's generated instantly electronically when you apply for/register it, so what reason is there for it not being in their database the minute you generate it?

I don't have Amazon accounts but I've always used EIN's on Paypal as soon as I get them registered. At least with Paypal, there's no checking done until tax time. If Paypal sends the IRS a 1099 with invalid info the IRS rejects it and you're asked to correct the info on your account. I've never seen anything to suggest that any checking is done when you initially submit your tax information, but I'll admit that could somehow be different with Amazon (I don't know how it could be).

I haven't added an LLC in a long time but I believe waiting a week would be plenty of time

What entity do you usually use for accounts if not LLC? Sole prop wouldnt work for stealth from my understanding (requires SSN)
