Suspended...how?
 

This morning I received a note from Amazon (US) that my account was verified.

I had provided false everything...but had gotten through past their verification stage.

I went in to put the final double verification and do my tax stuff, and suddenly I saw on my screen a credit card number from another account that I had previously, which was quickly followed by suspension notices for being linked to a previous account.

I did not punch that credit card number in. But there it was.

Now, I was using a similar computer, but I thought I had cleaned it, like I had previously.

What do you think went wrong? Do I have to get a completely new computer, then, every time I set up an account?

How did they link this?

Used my own credit card.

In the past, I have noticed, that the credit card didn't necessarily have to match anything...you could put another address and name on it, and it worked just fine.

Don't think that is the problem though...because for some reason, and older credit card that I used was already in the system.

If you are using a chrome browser could the stored credit card information populated the credit card screen in error?
