How does a brit open a regular individual seller account on amazon.com? Is it possible? Does the seller have to have a SSN even if he's a brit? What's required? I tried from my european marketplace and was redirected to a subscription service.

You can register a US pro amazon shop with UK information

and viseversa, with any supported country on any platform

Yes, I think that was what I was redirected to.

But I meant open an account as a Brit living in the States. Or Canada. Or Mexico. I know they have a pan American thing, similar to what we have in Europe.

I'm afraid I'm not profitable enough for a pro amazon shop.

I do this all the time since I have no idea how to open an Amazon account with US details! I always use UK info for all my amazon accounts and about 50% of the accounts don't pass the verification stage for whatever reason. When you register they automatically take you to the professional application. You just have to go to the pricing option and select the Individual seller account option.

The reason I don't try anything with USA based info is because I've got no clue what to do with SSN haha.

You can register and complete foreign tax information
