Trump admin is trying to curb sales of imported counterfeits over the internet,warning electronic commerce operators and warehouse operators of stiffer penalty if they dont help ferret out ⊗⊗⊗⊗.
The dept of homeland security will issue a report this Friday outlining immediate actions and longer term goals to solicit ecommerce players to combat counterfeit products which undermine US technology,and harming brick and mortar retailers and endanger consumers/
The TRUMP ORG is seeking to pressure e commerce giants including AMZN,FINANCIAL Firms,logistic services and others to stem the tide of counterfeits and pirated goods.
It will start immediately and will call for new laws to permit the govt to seek injunctive relief against marketplaces dealing in counterfeits.

Customs agents will treat domestic warehouses and fullfillment centers such as AMZN as ultimate consignees for goods not yet sold to consumers,giving officials power to scrutinise shipments evena fter they have cleared borders and moved to the warehouse.
Warehouse will be requested to abandon and destroy such goods.
also better scrutinize Canada and MEXICO FULLFILLMENT CENTERS ,large shipments skipped US law and sent to such warhouses are often broken up into smaller shipments/indvidual packages shipped to US consumers free of duty and paperwork as long as valu is less than $800.

This administration is far worse than the Obama one, you have someone in the white house who is taking a lot of things personally. Simply put, Trump wants to pull a number on Jeff Bezos, I know it sounds damn silly, but that is the reality of the situation!


One thing I learned about this administration is that you have to take anything they say with a grain of salt. However, if they decide to really go after major online marketplaces and change the law to enforce new policies regarding the sale of counterfeits, they will be hurting the US economy and not helping it. You see, brands are making less money because of counterfeits, but a lot of people are also making money off it.


They should pull out of the UPU and put a stop to ePacket (which they promised to do btw), that alone will give a turbo boost to American online sellers and help curb the exportation of Chinese inflation into the US market.

pulling out of UPU would not make any difference to brick and mortar stores and their online sites,just small sellers like us who sell Chinese made goods.
The whole point is counterfeits,copyrights .
yes,it is going to hurt AMZN FBA,cant just take in any shipments !

I give Trump credit,he said he will do something and he does,now foreign pregnant women wanting to give birth in this country so their children can be US citizens,will be banned from entering US.

probably in the newspaper,I found this article in WSJ,it has been doing full page on ecommerce lately,mostly AMZN -AMZN third party sellers selling counterfeits,faulty goods etc.
if this becomes official,we should hear from AMZN FBA
