Amazon new registration update
 

Amazon registration is now asking for a company registration number.

Does anyone know what this is and when it started?

My uncle was trying to setup an account with all his personal info but we could not figure out this new step. We are both in the USA and registering with all his details

You needs to select sole trader under legel entity

Interesting, maybe they were updating their system hence the worse Q4 account pass rate in the history of Amazon lol.

what state are you in?
It could be a certificate from the state

I’m in Ohio, and I just registered yesterday

The sign up looks completely different as well. I spent many hours searching the internet and still have no clue what a company registration number is referring to

Probably the # the your state gave you when you registered your LLC. Check your articles of organization or articles of incorporation. I have not seen the new registration yet so just guessing.

I have a copy of the articles of organization. The company serial number is not what they’re looking for.

Are you able to take a screenshot? never seen that request before, but it could be a new obstacle that will show up more frequently

I have a certificate to collect and remit sales tax in one state and there is a number,I also have another DBA doing business as in another state.
why cant you just ask in AMZN seller forum?

I think you can just put the EIN. I looked around and only suggestion was that via Amazon forums. I'm currently pending in the verification. I just put my EIN, it at least let me finish the application...

For record sake... my account was just approved. Safe to say if you give them your ein it works perfectly fine.
