Will more documents be asked for?
 

1. For new accounts, what documents are asked for?

2. If account reaches a certain number of sales, will more documents be requested?

3. Is forming an LLC necessary or a good idea for new accounts?

3. LLC's are necessary for stealth. Single member-LLC and sole proprietors wont work for stealth because they will not pass a IRS database match from Amazons end. Both entities are checked using the personal name on the account (not business name) and require a SSN.

Only Multi-member LLC's and S-Corps / C-Corps work for stealth on Amazon because their business name and EIN is checked for a match with the IRS database.

It wouldn't necessarily be a stealth account, everything would be different except for the address. In this case would a sole proprietor work?

I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish. You're going to have to explain what you are trying to do.

Reusing the same address will link a suspended account immediately.

Not true at all. I have a parent company single member LLC with subsidiaries that I use for stealth. So when they check my information the owner of my LLC even if it’s single member is my parent company, legally speaking.

When do they ask you to provide the documents when you’re creating the account or after the account is created

You have to supply id/passport and bank statement when opening it. After that everything is fair play. You can be asked anything ...

I have from my experience realized when you select your not a owner of a brand, they don’t request additional verification beyond the basic.

So that would be during initial set up I wasn’t asked for any of that information. I just upgraded to professional today will they email me and ask for that information

Interesting. And for the legal entity, which entity did you select? They only have this SM-LLC's EIN and Business name? Not your real personal name or SSN?

If you selected SM-LLC for the legal entity type Amazon would require you to enter the personal name and SSN of the individual who owns the LLC as its a disregarded entity. So IDK how you got around this. :noidea:
