Amazon Seller Account - Passport

I'm trying to open an amazon sellers account, however, on the sign up page, it's asking for passport details. Is this normal ?

It's for a UK acccount.

Am I missing something ?

Ahh right. It's my first time selling on amazon. I've sold on ebay before, with the guides. However, does the Amazon Ghost guide, provide a way to bypass this ?

I do want 1 real account but i wanna open a couple more as well.

What confused me, is that you can find in the market place, people selling amazon vcc's for banned accounts ? However, I'm confused, as to why that would be necessary, when you need passport ?

Am I missing something, with regards to opening multiple accounts ?

you gotta provide them with what they are requesting creatively if you've already used your info

the vcc sellers in the marketplace can provide a vcc for sign up registration
