Reset a 2FA on a stealth account

I no longer have access to the phone number I used to setup the 2FA on my stealth account that I created years ago. Somehow the cookie got deleted that disabled the 2FA

Amazon are asking for a government ID to confirm my identity. Who has navigated this and how?

Use the buyer account to reset the 2FA and change the mobile phone that is no longer in use

You cant even login to buyer account,only way to get account back provide ID, i dont think it goes through proper verification, they just see ID if all looks good they reset it, they normally do within 24 hours

This happened to me once and I had to give them my ID.
Tried multiple things for a week and couldn't do anything else.

Unfortunately the only way to get back in if you lose two step is to provide the front side of a passport or ID

Did you save the QR or manual code? That is what I always recommend to do in case you lose the two step device

Did you give them legit, verifiable ID?

I cannot get legit ID as it is a stealth account and I am not even sure what documentation was used to open it
