Advice for getting into Europe marketplace

Alright, so amazon requires a VAT number to register in Europe marketplace, my question is if I open an offshore company in Estonia, and get the VAT number with that company can I ship the products from other European countries? Like the UK, Germany, Poland to any other European country? or the company needs to be located where the products are located? I want to use this account for dropshipping honestly. Thanks for the advice

you can ship from wherever you want, but having a warehouse in a country results in tax-obligation in that country.

Also look into if VAT is required if your items are located outside EU/UK as last time I researched this it seems Amazon only requires VAT if your products are located in EU/UK

If you're shipping from outside you may not need it

Even if you store in European countries, there are work arounds for VAT.

Re: Advice for getting into Europe marketplace

Still hundreds of thousands of Chinese sellers are flooding the European marketplaces every day. Why is that? Because they do not care at all about any regulations. They just use accounts as throw away tools. They register VAT on stealth accounts, make wrong declarations for a year and then shut down the account to directly start again with ten new ones. The war is long lost. No law enforcement agency will ever follow up into Mainland China with issues like that. Just not worth the hassle. The new VAT regulations did not make anything better in terms of competition or a fairer marketplace.

A regular European based company, that pays taxes, pays their employees social, healthcare, benefits etc., copes with all the regulations from CE to packaging laws has NO chance against a Chinese seller. Zero, none! Thats just the way it is.

This will change in couple of months, July 1th. Maybe not eliminating totally, but there will be a huge change.
