Amazon confiscating Sellers money

Amazon is increasingly harassing sellers by confiscating their hard-earned money.

Below are some Reasons...

1. after the account gets suspended for poor performance / ODR > 1%, sellers wait for their money transfer after 90 days which is expected as per their policy. But, amazon don't transfer it despite multiple requests to performance team/ disbursement team/ notice dispute team

when a seller sends the request for a money transfer after 90 days, they come up with following things

a) asking for invoices/receipts of some ASIN/ product for which you have not a single product in your entire selling history on the same account.
b) ask for authorization of selling some ASIN and its proof of invoice for items which they themselves are selling through Amazon Warehouse store, these are those items which are left by some FBA sellers after their account gets suspended or their items are confiscated by amazon at their warehouse on which they certainly dont have any authorization to resell..

2. not transferring amount for no reason and even after 90 days period they are granting returns and claims which is itself against their policy. (returns and refunds/ claims are valid only upto 30/90 days period.)

Long known practice of Amazon regarding money confiscation :(

How have you tried appealing this ODR suspension. Generally speaking, ODR suspensions are pretty standard reinstatements.m

Were the products you were selling phake? Were your business practices shady? If so, this very well could be why they're holding the money and they have just not outright provided you with the reason.

even if your unable to reinstate the account, you can still actively appeal for the release of funds that are in your seller account balance.

As stated above, ODR suspensions are pretty standard, if you have not managed to keep it within the permitted parameters.

Amazon is horrible with sellers and gives us lots of stress. I wish we could combine the +'s of eBay and the +'s of Amazon to make for a great marketplace.

Good luck!

what did you sell?
Like the others said,it could be more than ODR that your account is suspended.
the fact that they are withholding your fund and refunding your buyers has more to do with what you sell ,not ODR
If third party sellers using AMZN FBA accounts are suspended, they will either have to pay for their merchandise to be destroyed or transferred to another location, could be another FBA or their home.
Do you have proof AMZN is selling them ?

the account was suspended for high ODR. mainly due to buyers complaining about undelivered products. though I had all the proofs i.e POD (Proof of delivery) from the carrier. Amazon never listen sellers. Just a A-Z claim from buyers and Amazon deducts your account and takes those orders for high ODR.

First, the account was suspended for high ODR, I submitted POA and appeals but amazon denies reinstating the account.

after 90 days when amazon was written for the release of money, they surprisingly came up with AISN list and complaint that we were selling unauthorized items from other seller's inventory.
when we checked for those ASIN, some didn't exist, some were very common which other sellers and Amazon warehouse still selling it.

The gist is they do not want to pay you for your efforts, time, and money you have put it despite how legitimately you have sold.

AMZN is now held liable for all the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items listed/sold by third party sellers.
Credit card chargebacks can come in 180 days so if one is selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ products, buyers could get his money back after 90 days.
wait 180 days and see if you can get your money released

You need to admit all responsibility, ignorance is not a valid argument. You need to completely purge your listings and put a POA together which will convince Amazon you know what you did wrong and have a system in place to ensure it will never happen again.

Good luck, Amazon is getting real tough on sellers who appear not to know what they're doing, particularly when it comes to protected ASINs.

Can we purge our listings after suspension? I don't think so. If that can be done in any way please let me know. I have to delete listings in my account.

Until unless there is no fraud involved in the eyes of AMZ Support. You should get your money back. As you are from India... Search in your connections and find someone who works at Amazon. There would be someone... You just need to spend sometime. They can get you the info. If your account is tagged as 'Fraud'... You will never get your money back and they also never reveal this ****.
