LTL pickup
 

My house address is a suspended address. For FBA id always have a ship from address different from this, and schedule UPS pickups to my house. Never had a problem wtih this.

Can the same be done for LTL? Is there any difference or potential linkages?

If its an LTL pickup im worried the pickup address may be registered with Amazon.

I dont want my suspended address given to amazon when scheduling an LTL pickup.

I want to know if LTL pickup addresses are shared with Amazon.

What you are suggesting will not help.

Hi, You can use another nearby address for LTL pickup on Amazon, then in the morning call the local terminal and have them update the address. Tell them Amazon scheduled it but used your home/office address but the shipment is instead located at ______________.... it always worked for me.

So, when you create an LTL shipment in seller central, it treats your "ship from" address as the address to pickup from (im assuming).

You enter a contact and a date and the LTL company will pick it up at that "ship from" address on that date. Correct?

What you do is call the LTL company and say "hey, dont go to that ship from address. Pick up from my HOME address where its located".

1. How do you know which LTL company is going to pick up your LTL / which to call?

2. When you tell me the new address, wont they change the manifest/BOL/ship from address, etc on their end? Will amazon not see this on their end?

Yes, the ship from address will become the pickup address. Also remember, the trucking company will not come with a lift gate unless you call the terminal in the morning and request it. So unless you have a forklift, you have to call them anyway to ask for a liftgate truck.

LTL are scheduled in advanced, so you have to choose the ready by date and this is the day it will be scheduled for.

One the morning of the pickup, Amazon will send you the BOL. It will have the carrier on it so you can find the local terminal for that trucking company and call them.

Amazon won't see the updated pickup address, they will use the BOL you print out. Print 2 copies, one for you and one for the driver.

Make sure all cases on the pallet has stickers amazon provided, and all pallets have stickers on all 4 sides.
