Business Name and Address To be Displayed on Seller Profile Page on Amazon
 

Hello,
I received notice that starting September 1, 2020, Amazon will display the business name, phone number and address on each seller page. I have a few questions that I'm looking for help on. First a little background. My Amazon account is registered to a person name, not a business name, with a home address and personal phone number. My questions are as follows:
1. Am I able to change the business address to a USPS PO box without running the risk of suspension?
2. Am I able to change the business phone number without running the risk of suspension?

I have done a little research and reaching out to other sellers. A few of the responses I received are below:
1. Another Amazon seller said that all of his account's business addresses are a PO BOX
2. Another Amazon seller said it needs to be a UPS box not a PO BOX as UPS boxes are considered suites.

Any time you update any account info there is a chance for a review

Simply changing the shipping address is unlikely to cause you any trouble

Changing the business address however might once they do, won't know until September

To clarify, does this mean they are sharing the actual LLC name on your seller page?

Just discovered THE ANSWER IS YES your tax identifier is what will be shown (i.e. your legal name or LLC). In fact, if Amazon automatically set you up for the MX site, go to your seller page right now and add ".mx" after ".com" you will already see a Mexican page with your address and your actual LLC!!!!

Take, for instance, this seller:

US account, no information:
https://www.amazon.com/sp?_encoding=...=ABSI960A5CTD3

MX account (even though they don't sell MX):
https://www.amazon.com.mx/sp?_encodi...=ABSI960A5CTD3

Wow, if this is true it can be somewhat scary what will take place in the future. You will be able to easily link the supplier to the seller which may cause a overflow. Differentiation will be hard !

Maybe higher MOQ's ?

Anyone else have an answer to the question of

Any one know of anyone who has changed their address in the Amazon setting? If so did they have any issues?

It'll usually trigger a re-verification.

I made it a rule that I don't change anything and I maintain all my addresses and phones, emails, etc so nothing expires.
