Changing Amazon Account From SSN to EIN
 

Hey was wondering if you could answer a few questions. Currently have an account that is already online Live on Amazon (account X) with a buddy that we setup and we are looking to setup an LLC with another person. So there will be three of us in total.

The account X is setup in my friends parents address which is where he use to live. He has since moved, so does not have utility, light bills, etc but does have bank going there, which is setup in the Account X account name etc.

We are looking to transfer this account from his SSN to an EIN since we are forming a partnership. However this leaves the address issue - are we screwed here? Or will this be okay in case a document request occurs? I was thinking we could rent a suite or something and change the address to that on the account X info, but im not sure if thats allowed.


We are looking to make this LLC be sellable in the future so that once we have it up and running everything can be sold under the LLC.

Anything you will change on Amazon it will trigger re verification as long as you can provide documents you will be fine

Okay so his dads name and his name are the exact same. The only difference is the middle name. So on his account it appears like this with his full name. His dads name doesnt use any intial.

Example:

Name on Amazon Account is John Michael Smith
Dads Name is John Smith

all the bills come in his dads name as John Smith

Since he doesnt have any utility bills or anything like this since he no longer lives there and also since it was his parents house, i was thinking this may work, any insight or suggesitons on this?
