Competing with Amazon FBA?

I'd like to know anyones experience when competing on the same ASIN when Amazon is also selling the product with prime?

Even if I don't get the buy box, will I still generate some sales when I match the same price as Amazon with FBA?

Obviously you don't know the ASIN but just as a general rule of thumb. Any insight would be cool. thanks

Ugh that's a tough battle, surely you can still get some sales from that ASIN, but the % is quite low.

Another reason why I don't sell those type of products.

personally recommend avoiding selling items that has amazon as one of the sellers

that usually results in higher than normal invoice requests

Sure, they want to know who your supplier is to launch their own product and kick you off the platform.

I would not advise competing with them unless its a similar price and not some crazy cheap price. they may suspend the offer and ask for invoices.

I have bought items sold by both AMZN and third party sellers, whoever offers a cheaper price ,reasonable shipping time,I will buy from that seller.
what is the item you want to sell on AMZN marketplace?
(books,consumer electronics,office supplies)

That's typical of amazon to do that.

Can you lower your price at least? And you're doing FBA right?

Have done it, and you can generate some sales. But, if you do not use a repricer (not AZ's) then it is useless. When you go below by 1 cent, then AZ matches, and so on. To due it manually is a waste of time.
Also, if you can "see" how low AZ goes with their price (Keepa), then you can see if it is worth it.
But do not expect to make much more than a couple of dollars on each sale, if that.
