How to trigger a complete verification procedure for Amazon seller account?

Someone has an individual Amazon seller account which had sales last time 3 years ago. Utility bill verification wasn't triggered and wasn't passed.

From experience I know that if there were no sales during last 6 months, then Amazon can block the account and request to go through the registration process again. I know that upgrading to professional plan can trigger utility bill verification process, so this part is more or less clear.

What is the best way to trigger this re-registration process beforehand without actually sending there inventory and risking the goods and money?

They normally ask for those verification and safest way is to just upgrade to pro / biz account as you already mentioned.

If you want to try triggering it just upgrade to pro that is when the utility bill can happen

If it happens, it will likely pop up within 1-2 days after doing so

downgrade to individual, remove the credit card, then 1 day later upgrade to pro by adding a new card. Should trigger a re verification
