is it okay to diasable amazon two steps authentication

i am wondering if we can disable amazon two steps authentication?
asking this because i sometimes go to other countries and my mobile phone cannot receive the test message.

You can disable it - a while back they made it required to re-enable it the next time you log in

I believe now you can disable it without issues
