Friends Amazon Seller Account
 

PROBLEM: amazon seller account permanently suspended under my name.

CURRENTLY: using friends amazon seller account to sell private label product. Product is successful and would like to scale to add more products


QUESTION: what can we do to ensure I have control over this account? I have a single member LLC. Please advise best route to have full control of account for tax responsibility etc.

ANSWER: If you keep doing what you did to get your own account suspended, it'll happen with this one too.

ANSWER2: Give them your tax ID....

Got it. I never got past the verification part. Sent the water bill multiple times and they just stopped replying.

You mean giving them my business EIN? wouldnt I need to add the friend to my LLC Or something ?

No my friend is verified and we have been selling my product successfully for 8 months. It’s my first account that seller performance stopped replying to my utility bill submissions.

Hi - Same scenario for me. My account was suspended as well. Friend created a seller account, got past the verification part and is a now a registered seller. He offered me the account.

I have a single member LLC but the name and address in the IRS records is mine. If I use the EIN, won't Amazon be able to link the newly created account to the suspended one? The EIN, btw, is brand new and not on the suspended account. The name and address are what I'm worried about.

I don't mean to hijack the thread - I'm assuming the OP and I are in the same boat.

This is why taking someone else's account is just a headache.
it's not as easy as it used to be many many MANY YEARS ago
