Dangerous law

Congress is trying to pass new law this year to require Amazon to verify all sellers in depth, every year. This would be a big problem for many people. Anyone wana look into this and see how big of a deal this will be

Law:
Inform consumers act

I think congress doesn't know that Amazon is known for rigurously verifying the identities of small sellers, let alone bigger ones.

What a joke, they want to push their nose into the everyday life of a private company, don't these people have anything better to do?!!!

EDIT:

I wish they would have taken the time to look into something else rather than seller-verification. What about doing something about regular seller-dehumanization on Amazon?

You're asking us if they got anything better to do?

Not really... they are there to serve their constituents even when their people are dumbass bigoted idiots.

All they want is to be reelected.

So yea... no...

Will this law be a problem?

They want Amazon to reverify sellers every year and if If I understand correctly remit this info to the government?

They're already doing live web cam video verification, and postal code verification

Blood/stool samples next?

I believe they view high volume as $4k in sales a year, don’t want to reread it again

I think it is not limited to Amazon only. Ebay and etsy also come under the Online Marketplace.
