Help needed on Tax for new Amazon Seller
 

Dear all,

I recently purchased an US Amazon Seller Pro account, however, it is registered under foreign address.

I'm not based on US too.

In this case, do i need to update the Amazon Tax interview information?

If this is require, do i need to declare the TIN number? I do not have TIN number in that particular country?

I heard that if i declare i do not have any registered TIN, then amazon will charge me additional 30% for tax which is a lot. I'm not sure how true it is.

Following - seems like you wouldn't need the tax info for US since you aren't based there but waiting for more posts

That's correct, but you cant change the tax information now if you do account will be suspended and you have to verify again

1. Did you buy the account from our marketplace?

2. If so ask the seller. If not, ask the original seller.

You can't just change info on amazon, they most likely will suspend or try to reverify you which is a problem
