Scheduled video appointment
 

Hello,
I am new to Amazon stealth but have extensive knowledge with making eBay stealth accounts. Anyway I just made a Amazon seller account using my real info and they scheduled a video conference call in a few days to confirm my identity. I was kinda caught off guard by this as I did not even complete my registration yet. Is this normal procedure? Kinda strange. I notice that there are other options in place of this like going to a verified Amazon center or receiving mail with a verification code sent to address on file. I wasn’t eligible for those options so just curious how does one even make a stealth account

Its more common these days than before

But web cam verification can happen, and same with postal code verification after your shop passes initial verification

This nornally trigger some of your steps, it can be anything from address , ip, phone no or vcc

If its your legit account nothing to worry and once you done video verification it will be verified

The video verification is still very rare. It's normally the post card that they'll send to your address.

So either you got a little unlucky with the video verification or something triggered a flag.

Agreed. Video verification is rare, seems to be becoming more and more common though.

If this is your first account with your own info I wouldn't sweat it much at all.
