ScottieBoi | 12-02-2021 12:31 PM | Intellectual Properties question I am so tired of being harassed by Amazon (and Wish) for IP infringements for selling used laptops, primarily HP and Lenovo. Apparently, you need their permission to sell used items that you own. It has driven me crazy trying to figure out how to get permission from them to sell their used items. Any ideas on how to contact Lenovo or HP on this? Thanks |
SaiJin | 12-02-2021 01:01 PM | Re: Intellectual Properties question Oef, that's a tough one. I'm sure when you look for their asin they ask you to apply to sell.
Also if I were you I'd sell my laptop either on eBay or craigslist or facebook and not do amazon. But that's what I prefer |

agent006140 | 12-03-2021 09:05 AM | Re: Intellectual Properties question There are more problems selling used electronics,AMZN does not like it,Fed Exp and UPS do not like it,as packing without the original carton is not as secure, used electronics sometimes do not work ,it gives AMZN a bad name.
Why not sell it on Facebook,Craigslist or locally?
Ebay is the best place to sell used electronics, there is one category where you sell them for parts only and buyers cannot file INAD if it does not work |
ScottieBoi | 12-04-2021 10:55 AM | Re: Intellectual Properties question Thanks for telling me to not sell on Amazon, but that's not really a solution. I like money. I sell everything everywhere. |

I think you will not be satisfied with their price for such permission. |
ScottieBoi | 12-10-2021 11:13 AM | Re: Intellectual Properties question Do other business? This is what I do. This is my business lol. But no, I learned that it's commonly referred to as a "Partner Program". In other words, I Googled Lenovo Partner and signed up to be a partner. It took 2 days to be approved and receive a letter giving me permission to sell their items. Same with HP |

Not sure why everyone wants to talk me out of doing what I do for a living lol. But yeah, I knew what I needed. So I was doing the "figure out how to contact the company to see if they'd approve you" part. That's why we're here. To figure out how to contact them for approval. But, I already did so. Read above |

Call Raymond Brimson at HPs legal department (650) 857-1501 he is their chief counsel, explain what you are trying to accomplish and they will tell you what can and cannot be done. From experience I will warn you to be disappointed, but depending on your specific circumstances your outcome may work out. You can do this with any company. I have dealt with HP, they are tough, but not impossible like other brands like Sony and Apple | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:20 PM. | |
