Did I just ruin my account?!
 

Ive had a stealth account now for about 3 years and just went to respond so some messages and did not realize my VPN was not connected(moron move I know) and responded to 1 message. I have used this IP address in the past and got an account banned a few years ago with this.

Will my account be shut down in the next few days? I have a ton of money still in it from the Xmas rush.

Hopefully someone has some good news that I am probably overreacting but I do not think that is the case

If this was the only mistake youve made you probably dont have anything to worry about.
Just dont make such a mistake again.

Amazon is very strict they don't even give 1 chance, if they linked your account then you will hear from them within 24 to 48 hours if nothing cane then you good to go

I just did it a few hours ago so I assume I hear something tomorrow or Monday but praying it somehow slips thru the cracks

Do you have a static IP? If it's dynamic there is a possibility it may have changed since it was last used, particularly if you've powered down your router at any point.

In any event, it is done and now a waiting game, I too think if it was just a momentary lapse then you will get away with it, particularly if your account is in good standing and not on the radar.

The next time you disburse funds you'll find out if it was linked or not

Chances are you'll be fine since its been so long, but you never know

You could setup some firewall settings to block your browser from connecting if your VPN is not connected to avoid this in the future. Some VPN software also has blocking features if the VPN isn't connected

I just tried a withdrawal and got the "Your payment is on the way" email...I assume that is a good sign?? Or can they reverse that?

I'd think you're ok, but just check your account after the week. If it's still up, chances are you'll be ok

You’re fine… someone already told you, if it’s been 12-48 hours and no email yet, then you’re good. This is no issue.
