Laptop factory-reset enough for new amazon account?

If I have a laptop that has a banned amazon account, would factory restoring the laptop give me a clean slate? Or do I need a new device / machine?

That's enough. CLean install of the OS and absolutely wipe everything.

I heard that Amazon could actually get the MAC address of your laptop, and I double checked that the MAC address is still the same after whole reset of the laptop.

They can't see your MAC address. :thumb:

Amazon cant see Mac Address, thats been a myth for forever. You factory resetting the machine is literally starting over. It's basically a new computer at this point.

As long as you completely reinstall the OS that's good enough.

Essentially it's a fresh new laptop

I really like dedicating 1 laptop = 1 amazon account.

You can buy a refurb laptop for about $200-$300 and it's so worth it.

Less headache and more secure

To be safe yes a totally new system per account is always advised
