Need Amazon Tax Help!
Hi all, I'm trying to file my 2021 taxes for the Amazon account I purchased on the Aspkin forum, however, when Amazon issued the 1099-K for that account, it was under a random name and social security number, and I'm not sure who that is since they were added before I purchased the account. I've already went into the Amazon account and updated the tax information to show my new LLC's name and EIN number that I created, but I'm not sure how to update the 1099-K Amazon sent out to reflect that because I didn't update the EIN number until after the 1099-K was sent out. So the 1099-K is issued under some random person’s name and social security number even though I received the income that’s listed on the 1099. Is there an easy fix here or am I going to get in trouble since there’s someone else’s TIN on there? I plan to fully pay the taxes on the income listed on the 1099 so I’m hoping this will resolve the issue |
