Default Liability insurance

Hi,

Anyone know how to proceed with account registered in the EU selling in the USA. AZ asks for Liability insurance even though I had only 1 month over 10k and others are with smaller sales. I contacted a bunch of USA insurance companies but no one want to do it as the address is foreign to them. I also looked locally and the situation is the same. Any idea how to bypas this. Will AZ freeze my listings after the grace period 0f 30 days expires?

Thanks

Go through AZ list of insurers. Use a PO box in the US.

We did it for 2 Cnd accounts and works.

Could probably use any address in US though.

Doesn't AZ match the insurance quote address with the actuall address on file? I mean they will differ

Yes but you can match the address when you add your personal/business info

Insurance companies are known to deny claims if the policyholder misrepresent himself.

But the address on the insurance would not match my business address which is based overseas! Do I have to change the actuall address in the AZ acount in order to match the insurance or it will be accepted with mismatching addresess?

Just take it out with your stealth details, lets be honest, if you didn't have to have it you wouldn't so simply don't claim. Simply see the cost as an occupational expense.

Sorry, I misunderstood the issue.

There's no way I'd be messing with addresses, that could have unwanted impacts on the whole account not just your US operation.

Maybe I'm failing to understand why you have different addresses...what address are you referring to if not the one recorded on Amazon. Based upon my own business with them, I only have one address on my main account (UK) which is shared with all my 'sell globally' sub accounts. If I was taking out any insurance it would be with this business address. Okay, they have my personal details for verification purposes but this has nothing to do with my business and is never used in any business capacity i.e where my returns go, what info is displayed to the buyer, where any paperwork would be sent etc etc.

I'm going to have to take your word for it but liability insurance for EU registered sellers is fairly common, I can't believe that it's completely unavailable for those who ship to the US - we live in a global marketplace nowadays, your situation is far from unique.

To answer your initial question then if they said you have 30 days to sort it then I would expect some kind of sanctions after this period has expired. Fire your Amazon registered business details off to some brokers and see where it gets you.

No the liability insurance is not fairly common in the EU. In my country there is only 1 player which is offering it, and they denied me on the quote stage. Yeah, not messing with my business address, you are right cause amazon will go crazy again! I guess there is no solution for this problem then...

Same for me. What are your sales? Before 2020 I was doing 10k every month then it drop considerably lower. Recently I am doing 10k plus again so it is always on my mind..

Doeas not matter , I had the same situation and it works for me.Propably You will not find insuarance company in Europe which offer liability for US but if You will find it you will pay tons of $$$. In US you will pay around 500 $ a year ,if you have very exotic amazon cathegory you can pay a liitle bit more.I got offer from UK insurance agent and he wanted around 2000 GBP.
