Question on Canada Post item not received
 

I am based on in USA and also sell on Amazon Canada. Last year this customer claim inr in Canada and I issued a refund. She tried the same thing again but this time I called her out and she's still demanding a refund. Can I call Canada Post to get GPS location or can they be helpful? I've had 3 inr this year and she is two of them. I'm calling BS. It was shipped without signature confirmation unfortunately. Canada Post website does not investigate claims when package is marked as delivered so I can't open a claim.

Suggestions? Does Canada do small claims court? I bet she does this to everyone. Scammer.

You should have banned her from buying from you after the first INR.
Insurance wont cover either since it is delivered.
If AMZN is like Ebay,it would remove her buying privilege as she is a risk to sellers.
One woman living in rural Mexico bought many small silver jewelry on Ebay,and sellers do not ship with tracking as it would cost too much,and often these small packages were stolen and she filed INR,eventually Ebay would only allow her to sell,but not buy

canada does small claims court but how much is the $ damage done to you? worth time and effort on your end?

$$$. I was going to send Signature required but that is alot more $$$ because it it has to go UPS or DHL. Then required another trip just for one package. I gave it the benefit of the doubt that maybe it really was lost the first time but not two times. I cant even report buyers on Amazon, how? I attempted to report a buyer who returned a different item and Amazon just responded on how to file a safe-t claim. They ended up filing an A-Z and I still wouldnt refund but they withdrawal the claim.

Can you do it online? You can do small claims online in USA. There are sites that will file for you. I know if I could get the customers purchase history shes done this 1000 times. item is worth $200 usa.

Do you have to appear in Canadian court?
i have filed small claims court in US,I have to show up and went thru mediation.
there are also fees you have to pay
all you have is a tracking number

Everything in the USA is still over tele right now atleast. Not in person. I went through bankruptcy and I am embarrassed everything was over the phone. Drag my ass into court and humiliate me.....

Dont forget if you win, you can also claim court and all fees in the settlement.

is there a number I can speak to someone at the post office? How do I find this? anyone know?

You can start the process online but I think things are resolved in person now - which province?

You may win at small claims court,but the court is not going to collect the money for you,you will have to do it yourself,so how are you going to do it in Canada?
In US,you can get a warrant and go and seize merchandise in his store if he has a store,and have it auctioned off ,all these will cost you,auctioneer and sheriff fee .
You may slap a lien on his property,if he has any.
Get over it and move on,you want to play retailer,you would run into scammers,just review your business model,may be you should not be selling certain items or you should not ship overseas. or ask a higher shipping cost to cover shipping with a private carrier.
Overseas buyers are also known to refuse paying customs duty,I have a case of an UK buyer who did not pick up the item,it finally comes back to me months later.

Have you thought of contacting customer and telling them that Canada Post is going to investigate the delivery as it is a federal crime to report a delivered item as not received?
May get them to back off.

you better send a refund , no signature confirmation means you lose the case. in some cases amazon may refund the buyer without charging the seller , you can try to ask them to intervene but in general no signature means the sellers will have to refund if a claim is opened

if you sell high value items I do not recommend to offer international despatch at all

No,OP shipped the item himself from US to Canada with tracking but no signature confirmation.
Some USPS priority package ,you can get signature,find out more on USPS website.
Local DHL agents will offer a discount,he needs your business and willing to make less,but after a discount,it is still too expensive

Ebay and etsy offer Global shipping,all the seller needs is to ship the item to a US location with tracking and he is covered for INR.
But AMZN does not have such service

This is the second time OP got scammed by this buyer,after losing the first case,he is still willing to do business with the buyer,
