Amazon buyer account

Do amazon can put on hold an account used only for purchases with prime activated?
Each order have different address ofc.

Re: Amazon buyer account

Yes on new account multiple address will lead to account hold

Re: Amazon buyer account

Abuse of Prime is one of their pet hates, they monitor it carefully and have no problem either taking away Prime benefits or, as we've seen on this forum, banning buyers.

Re: Amazon buyer account

Does anyone know if Amazon is able to link buyer accounts if I use the same password on all of them? Can’t they see the same hash number ?

I get instant hold on every account I create. Literally even if I just sign up to just free prime trial.

Try using a new computer not used in account creation, different ip address and a name and address that is searchable and verified.

Feels like your steps for account creation has an inherent error somewhere

WRONG!

If two passwords are identical, they will typically result in the same hash value when using the same hashing algorithm. Hashing algorithms are deterministic, meaning that the same input will always result in the same output.

For example, if both passwords "password123" and "password123" are hashed using the same hashing algorithm (such as SHA-256 or bcrypt), they will result in the same hash value. This is because the hashing algorithm will produce the same output when given the same input.

ChatGPT

You asked the question!

If you'd bothered to search the forum you'd see that it's been asked many times, they can't - I think someone (it might have been JN101) even linked to an Amazon info page explaining why. I think it was after their password breach scandal.

ChatGPT, no wonder folk of today are so useless......

ChatGPT passed bar exam, pretty sure it's a lot smarter than you. The answer is YES Amazon can. They might not be able to see the password, but they can clearly identify the same hash value. If you open multiple accounts all at the same time using the same password, their anti-fraud system will link all of these accounts. Especially if they come from the same IP range.

Whatever, Amazon can't see passwords, nor the hash value.

Maybe ask your 'friend' for all your questions in future and not bother with this forum.

In any event, not sure why you are so worried in defending an answer you clearly don't know the answer to.

Here's a bit of solid advice for you. If you think they can then don't share passwords. Simples.

why even bother using same pw - just use diff and keep track...if you're that concerned

Honestly not worth the risk for the very little effort of having unique passwords

Vincedorm 03-30-2023 03:15 PM

Re: Amazon buyer account

Why would you have the same password. Surely keeping a spreadsheet with all the stealth accounts is not that difficult.

Lol so you are one of those right wingers … and into conspiracy theories ?
