New Amazon account credit card question
 

I’d like to set up a brand new Amazon seller account under my corporation so it’s going to be a business account. I saw multiple tutorials that explain that you must only use a credit and not a debit card for account set up otherwise it will get shut down quickly. My question is about the credit card,i’m going thru a divorce and my credit is ruined. At the moment i neither have a credit card in my name nor can apply for one,not even under a business name. Can I use a credit card of a family member for account set up if that person is not on the corporate docs?
Does the credit card need to be in the name of the person who is opening the account? Any other advice on what I can do in this situation is greatly appreciated!

Even if your credit is toast there are credit card companies who will take you on, it may be a low amount and you may have to lodge a deposit with them and pay a monthly fee.

Do you know what are such banks?
And also if a credit card in someone else’s name would be safe to use for Amazon new account?

Yes, you can use a friends credit card for creating the account.

name on the credit card cannot be seen by the platforms by default - only if you provide the name, which you dont need to

You could also add another authorize user (any name) to your existing card

If you need a new card number you usually get one when you call in saying you lost your card

Thank you for your reply. Although I’m new to Amazon this seems strange to me that the credit card can be in anybody else’s name,however this does make things much easier in my case.

Because they cant check the name,when they authorise the card,they check the street number and zipcode only,also expiration date and if it has been reported stolen

If you can't get a credit card, get a GOOD VCC from one of the sellers on our marketplace.

Do you or anyone else believe it’s a good idea to buy Amazon stealth book first even if I want to open a real Amazon account under my LLC?
