No need to submit information for INFORM ACT if in U.S

I just got off the phone with account health. An american account specialist. He told me that the whole identity verification about the inform act was only meant for international accounts and everyone that received it in the U.S does not have to submit anything and it will disappear shortly. He said it was an "error" on amazon's part. Strange that they ****up so big and then 48 hours later tell everyone it is a "glitch"

That makes sense since most people were already verified in the USA

But international users never completed Video/Postal verification

I'm still a bit on the fence regarding this. One of my accounts is asking me to reverify the address, so that they can send that damn post card with the code. I have done nothing so far.

Update: they are now telling me I do not need to do the identity verification but I still need to do the phone number and address verification.

I have same issues that message regarding the verification wont go away for like a week and there is nothing pending there on seller's account page and noting to click on to upload anything. Any updates from anybody ?

Hmmm, no way this is true. There are thousands of users who are verifying their accounts or have already verified their accounts. I've been on phone calls with Seller Support a dozen times over the last 2 weeks regarding this, not once has anyone said don't worry about it just ignore it.

One of my accounts actually had all listings deactivated when it was past the 60 days.

Are you suggesting that the whole re-verification thing going on the last 3 months is to be ignored and it will go away?

Maybe the agent I had was fed false info. All U.S account should have the check mark already checked next to the identity info task. Two agents told me this. I had to verify identity on an older U.S account still but my newer one only
needed an address and phone verification.

Re: No need to submit information for INFORM ACT if in U.S

Since this morning my accounts are all having different requirements. Some want bank account verification some dont. Some want Identity verification some dont. I am guessing it varies from account to account but it seems quite random.

Agents are now saying to do whatever it asks.

Re: No need to submit information for INFORM ACT if in U.S

I have seen nothing on our 2 US accounts. Both are Canadian businesses registered with AZ in 2013 and 2015.
One does about 8-10K a month, the other about 3-5K a month.

No notifications from AZ and nothing under account info.

Am I getting lucky or maybe below the threshold?

Thanks
PHD

I reverified maybe 5 weeks ago everything went good then like 48hrs later I get the inform crap lol. I too found it strange for Amazon asking the same things again so I let it go for while....then some of the check marks went green on their own and now it's just asking me to verify my address with a post card. Pretty stupid if you ask but whatever... Send me the post card...
