As I mentioned above, they cannot see any info about your router so if your laptop is 'clean' then you're good to go. | So I tried this and it seems to just set the same IP as before - I have a modem and a router. Tried with the router as suggested, waited 30 mins and still the same IP despite being dynamic. I have heard that some will still assign you the same IP even after 24hrs has passed.
I am going to try with the modem tomorrow as that is an all-in-1 that also has WIFI.
Also tried tethering with my phone which mimics the IP address of the phone - if the phone is connected to the mobile network it mimics that IP on the laptop if the phone is connected to the WIFI network it mimics that IP on the laptop. Going to try to turn of mobile data and then turn back on after 30 mins to see if IP changes.
