Is it possible to legitimately reinstate an old suspended account?
 

How lenient is Amazon when it comes to this? Or is it a lifetime ban of the IP address and any other linked info?

Depends on the reason it was suspended, but if you couldn't deal with it then it's unlikely you can deal with it now.

Unless the suspension had nothing to do with the products you're selling (eg. you owed Amazon the $40 seller fee, and were suspended because your credit card was invalid for billing it), probably not.

It sounds like your problem is serious if it involved writing an appeal. If your appeal writing skills have improved substantially, there's a chance (a small one). But you're most likely better off spending your time and effort starting a new account.

Theoretically yes, there's always the option to re-submit information to appeal the suspension if you have access to the account.

In practice the chances are incredibly slim to the point of being almost non-existent but given the value of an Amazon account it's always worth a punt if you can supply better info than the first time you tried.

there are account reinstatement services in the marketplace of the forum that have had success of re-appeals as well - always worth considering if budget allows but Hank is right as well
