How do you deal with Amazon Returns?
 

Just curious how you guys deal with Amazon returns? We all know these excuses to return the items are all bullshyt. This is what happens when your dealing with a bunch of cheapskates. I sell the same exact item on eBay and I get ZERO returns. I swear, Amazon is the perfect place to commit fraud with you want free stuff. These reasons for returns are ridiculous.

"Changed my mind" - really after two weeks of usage?
"bought by mistake" yeah okay after using my item for three weeks?
" dont like the product and how it looked at me", "item dont work", "my kid ordered it not me", etc.... there killing me with these bullshyt returns.

Anyways besides the rant, how do you deal with returns? Do you repackage the items and sell them back? Or do you just issue the refund regardless if they returned the item or not?

Unfortunately there are buyers on Amazon that will unnecessarily return goods, usually the big scam is returning a used item that’s broken out of warranty or something entirely different.

It’s the cost of doing business on Amazon, you really can not not refund, I never get notification of a return, I have to monitor them to see what is going on and the refund for me, is automatically taken. The only thing you can do is give 50% back, then they open an A-Z claim, get the money anyway and you have a bad metric and negative feedback maybe.

Yep, it's the price of doing business on Amazon. I'm exclusively FBA and I'm guessing returns are even higher than FBM but it does allow me to 'look the other way' and not get too wound up by it.

If I was doing FBM on a stealth account I would seriously consider simply offering an automated no-return refund (depending on the wholesale cost to buy in) to keep my return address out of the equation and, as I said above, to kinda close my eyes to the whole issue to maintain my sanity.

yep as others have mentioned price of doing business

keeps getting worse as more people realize you can abuse sellers and amazon has your back

if they do it enough, they eventually get banned though

Push back....sell items even at cost or below cost to get volume...then when the asshole returns a different item in. $200 order which happens almost once a month for me I refund $0. Let em kick and scream. Create a strong account with volume

I do FBM, many different name brand products. I’ve tried many different reverse logistics companies and they always end up costing more than I get back. If you are a reseller that’s doing volume my suggestion is liquidate cheap items in bulk and resell expensive ones. Good luck

If they file an A-Z claim they'll most likely get a refund anyway, if they don't and they file a chargeback then they'll almost certainly get a refund. Surprised this strategy worked out for you.

People are more likely to return a brick instead of a laptop than a $10 pack of charging cables.

or they will return the bad laptop they have,it is called SWITCH-A-ROO
Or
remove some parts from your laptop and claim it does not work
