| chris100 | 07-18-2023 03:58 AM | Multiple stealth... would this work? 1. Register ltd with companies house. No stealth as UTR will be posted by mail?
2. Tweak details. Maybe add virtual office address or change director.
3. Open Amazon account. They will check the public record for business registered address and directors name/ address. They will want utility bill and ID for director.
For multiple accounts these would normally need to be unique. This would mean creative docs.
4. If Amazon account opening is successful revert details on companies house to my own (it's worth noting that previous registered office address and directors are still listed though).
5. Repeat for new account. |
| chris100 | 07-18-2023 04:05 AM | Re: Multiple stealth... would this work? I'm reading reports of people opening multiple accounts with real details (maybe just new business name)
I don't know how this works but it would mean they are not checking the ID number against others? Maybe only for serious past suspension?
Real details would save loads of time. |
| atrulz10 | 07-26-2023 07:21 AM | Re: Multiple stealth... would this work? hey mate, how long before they clock on you changing the company details to your own, how often do they check, also how do you work around payment method. they also verify bank statements , does it have to be in company you originally registered. |
Re: Multiple stealth... would this work? going to be interesting once tax season comes though hmm |

If they do I have a new address so won't be linked to suspended account (although it will be used to open bmore than one account)
I don't think payment method (card) has to match your residential address.
I think bank statement will have to be company name. Address will have to match so there is no avoiding creativity here.
With regards tax...you make sure you change companies house address back to yours and file accounts properly. I would also encourage other members to be on top of declaring your full income. Amazon does pass on info and underdeclaring along with stealth details leaves you in a very difficult position. |

Unfortunately this means being creative with documents.
I'm surprised others can even start a new account with same details? It seems they only go down when one is suspended and they actively look for linked accounts? |
| degsey69 | 07-26-2023 05:34 PM | Re: Multiple stealth... would this work? If real details are put into MP they at present are not linked to other accounts using them as Ayden runs MP and are not part of eBay and do not share that information. |
| amzrocket | 07-26-2023 06:41 PM | Re: Multiple stealth... would this work? Think of it this way, what's better for Amazon, to suspend a bad actor's linked accounts on creation and let them know they need to change their methods to create the accounts immediately, or for them to let them create all the accounts, and then suspend them all at once when any one account has an issue? |

| murdered_by_ebay | 07-27-2023 01:45 AM | Re: Multiple stealth... would this work? the info is correct , unique details play a role long term , amazon search for links to suspended accounts , this means that accounts with partially identical details may work fine for a while but if one should get an indefinite suspension there is a high risk of suspension for other accounts that used to have similar details in the past |

Chris100, here's a thought. Why not just try and open one Amazon account, treat it with respect, and do all your selling through it. Why this urge to run multiple stealth accounts given your current issues.
If I had been previously suspended and managed to open another account which avoided detection would I try and open another by manipulating the same details...not a chance, only an idiot would do that. |

If I had been previously suspended and managed to open another account which avoided detection would I try and open another by manipulating the same details...not a chance, only an idiot would do that. | It's a fair point. The simple answer is money. Running 3 accounts (my limit) would double my income and spread funds in case of Amazon forfeiture.
My accounts are always vulnerable because items are restricted. It's not a long term project. It's make enough money and then stop. After that there is no more income....what I made would be invested and that would be my income until pension kicks in.
I've stop selling on stealth accounts and done nothing for 4 weeks. No money coming in but still have day to day expenses. Bit old to get a real world job and it would be nowhere near the income from Amazon selling.
Starting a new account with real details but that will be vulnerable especially when 15k verification kicks in. Established accounts are much more stable.
My stealth accounts will face scrutiny in coming months (voluntary tax disclosure) whether active or not. I may as well try and reverify them from Sole trader to business and at least point those accounts back to the real me.
What I don't want in the future is the taxman chasing fictional ppl based on data passed to them by Amazon.
This is all reliant on the common belief that HMRC only care about you paying the correct tax and nothing else. It's come up here before and the consensus was that stealthing Amazon is ok but not your bank or taxman.
I'd be interested to know what ppl think about that now? Amazon (like PayPal) is a payment processor. Ok to use stealth details? |

Are you saying it's OK to share some information between accounts? Because everything that's shared increases the likelihood that amazon decides that the accounts are now related. |

Advice was get creative (it's only Amazon) but as a payment processor is this not the same as opening a bank account in another name? |

So Amazon will accept an EIN for tax ID purposes, bank accounts generally require a SSN even if you're opening a business account (and I think banks have access to better identity verification tools). You can have as many corporations and EIN as you want, but only have 1 SSN that actually belongs to you. |

The taxman wants to see bank accounts for that year (3 years ago). That's a hassle for my friend.
I always thought taxman had easy access to bank accounts and they would simply follow where the funds were going. Instead they seem to be acting on basic name/address data shared by Amazon. It will progress so I have had to approach HMRC and make a voluntary disclosure.
Tbh I'm surprised other stealthers have not faced this over the years. |

You can have as many corporations and EIN as you want, but only have 1 SSN that actually belongs to you. | Amazon UK requires either passport or driving licence.
Driving licence can be updated with new address but the ID number always stays the same.
Passport could be lost and replaced to give new ID number...but I wouldn't want to do that more than once.
So you are left with 2 forms of ID in UK which gives you 2 accounts. After 2 suspensions you will need a partner or creativity.
Since 2015 I think I lost one real account and 2 stealth. Other stealths (5) have lasted 4 years or so. Up till now anyway. |
| Freakzilla | 07-27-2023 10:21 AM | Re: Multiple stealth... would this work? Interesting I've never heard of that before. I guess we don't know the full story how much funds were etc.
I think they have to obtain a court order for a bank to disclose the info. Could be wrong though. I have always paid the tax on the income although it's spread across many different stealth details.
Was HMRC OK when you contacted them about this? I am a bit worried about this from next yead. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:04 PM. | |
