You mean between the opening comment and the title of the thread you can't fathom out that OP is asking if you can register as a private seller as opposed to a business seller?

Sometimes I find your grasp of matters rather worrying given you've got permission to sell accounts on this forum.

Yes you can however private sellers have very small turnover limit before they will be forced to convert to a business.

This limit gets even smaller if their AI bots see you selling multiples of new goods for example, even smaller if you sell quickly.

amazon do not want private sellers anymore , even with business sellers many people are rejected

if you want to register as private you would need to sell used items only in low volume and only one copy of each

you try to register a new private account and sell not used items and you will see how fast you will be blocked until you upgrade to business , that of course if they allow you to open such a seller account at all

They do allow applications from private sellers. Fact.

I thought I'd explained in my earlier post that you will get restricted pretty quickly if you abuse private seller accounts, I just wanted to clarify your statement that "if you want to register as private you would need to sell used items only in low volume and only one copy of each" simply isn't true given what I said earlier about account abuse e.g. you can sell multiple new or used items on a private account. Fact.

I think you're mixing up using a personal SSN vs a corporation EIN and an individual and professional selling plan.

Any real seller pays the $40 / month for the pro selling plan, that's not even a question.

Yes you can, but if you're really wanting to sell, you'll quickly find that you're going to need to make a pro account very very very soon.

So I'd just make a Pro account if I were you

So long as your a very small time seller then yes

If you sell in any sort of mass they will make you upgrade to a business account pretty fast

No they're not.

There are two levels of selling account - private and business.

Then there's two subscription options - individual or business. Both options are available to both account types.

This thread is about the former.

Best I've manage to do is around 12K albeit some time ago now, worse is about 4K. This selling multiples of new goods.

There is no denying, if your intentions are to make a living out of Amazon then private accounts are worthless.

I've seen it said on here that you should initially open a private account and then upgrade to business when prompted. Personally I disagree, I think that's adding a layer of potentially account suspending issues from which you might not recover so would advise to go for a business account from the outset and get all the verification issues out of the way.

In theory, once you're in you're in...as long as you act properly. No waiting for the inevitable death hammer.
