EU Seller DAC7 report
 

Hi! I would like to clarify the information on DAC7. If sales platform X asks the seller to confirm the seller's data and provide a TIN number and the seller fails to meet these conditions and is suspended from sales, is the platform required to make a sales report of the seller for 2023 based on basic data like name or date of birth? Is the TIN number or place of birth and the seller's confirmation of his data on platform X required for the report? In the DAC7 directive it says that if the seller does not confirm his data needed for the report, the platform is obliged to suspend him further sales and disbursement of funds, but is it supposed to include this seller in the January 2024 report if the seller has already been suspended and has not confirmed data such as TIN number? I have spoken to etsy support.They said that they will pass on all information about sellers trading on their platform, whether the account is blocked or active.The hiding is over, the tax service will come to everyone, either by tracking your bank account or by the site where you trade.

then why do they ask you to confirm your information and if you don't do it and don't provide your TIN number, they suspend you, so amazon

what exactly did etsy tell you? I wrote to them but everyone writes something different

I'm also trying to figure it out, what if the seller doesn't confirm the data? From what I've read, the TIN is necessary for the report, how will they identify the taxpayer? name, surname and date of birth do not confirm the person 100%

This is what etsy said that all information will be passed on to the tax collection services.For all sellers who have traded in 2023

everything has to be ⊗⊗⊗⊗,there are no other options.But that's a crime.Etsy is your id that you give when you open an account,if it's ⊗⊗⊗⊗ then there is another option,bank account.They can also find the owner of the bank account by that.

but what if the seller's details are incomplete and cannot be identified without the TIN, then the bank account owner will have to pay tax based on the Etsy report? this is vague
