Fing customers and free returns
 
Okay I just need to rant lol.
So far in sales for November is what I did the entire month of October. Today a customer requested a return for wrong item received. I am only guessing this is what caused it but now I've lost the buy box for my entire account, almost 250 listings.. I was able to have higher prices and still get the buy box. I can't get it for anything now, no matter how low I go.

I have no idea what else could of triggered it. I did cancel an order but my health is great and I've cancelled orders before and it never effected the buy box. I just lowered all my best selling items to the lowest prices so I can get a few sales.

buy box shouldn't be affected by one offs hmm

I never tried it but I assume selling on amz is like egay, whereas the seller is always at fault and always screwed, the customer always wins, even if they are idiots. The cost of doing business I think

This happens to us too but it goes back eventually. I’m not sure it’s something you did to trigger it as much as it could be a change in their algorithm. Do you sell fba?

Clearly it is.

Coupled with the cancelled orders then the aggressive algorithm they employ has taken their buy box eligibility from them albeit temporarily.

I suspect that the 'wrong item' issue alone was all it took.

it will come back in time but a painful lesson learned.

OP said only 1 cancelled order but did not go into the detail of wrong item... hmm

Sorry guys. Yes this is fbm, and I was blessed with getting the buy box back thanksgiving day. Very short period...but I also worked extra hard during that period to try and gain it back.
