3 accounts lost this month- options?
 
Still have multiple Amazon accounts but they are all fairly old now from the early days of stealth when it was easy- My oldest from 2017 was restricted 2 weeks ago asking for me to provide information for verification-which when clicked the link was a request for power of attorney which I submitted when I look at seller performance it looks like the request was made 60 days ago but since im a good boy with the account in good health did not check it so continued to sell had I known I would have put the account in holiday mode while I sorted out the verification. Instead I continued to sell and ship and now Amazon is requesting further information and I have fair amount of money stuck in Amazon until the account is verified.

The request has come back stating the drivers licence originally submitted in 2017 has expired which it did in 2020- so will need to submit a new drivers licence- it is a fully stealth account so will be tricky to get an updated drivers licence but doable. My experience tells me something has triggered this check so my concern is to get the funds released rather than continue selling-

If I submit a new drivers licence I imagine they will then want to do a video check which cant be done easily-and the money and account are lost-

Im considering telling the truth and telling them the account was purchased in 2017 and has been run by my company since- that company also has another strong seller account and is fully legit, vat registered ect ect.. but by doing so they might decide to suspend that company account but I can then legally go after them for the held funds- Maybe there is a law that allows them to keep funds from an account that has a legitimist company behind it , if not I can try to lawyer up.

But if I submit more information that they deem to be ⊗⊗⊗⊗ they can full back on the "If we believe this account has been used fraudulently, were keeping your money" and I cant fight that because when my lawyer asks where did I get the new documents from I wont have a good answer and could open up a can of worms.

1-So I can either upload new suspect documents-which possibly ends up with me loosing the money and the account

2-Tell them I purchased the account from somebody in 2017 but have been in charge of the account since and cant contact the original seller, its my bank account in my name so can show how the money has been coming to me since 2017. Might be able to recover the funds with a legal fight..

3-Suck it up buttercup-- kiss the money and the account goodbye and start just shutting down the stealth side which is now down to 6 accounts (I used to always run 20 in the good old days) so all the accounts are just my original non stealth.

I'm in a similar position. I have a lot of money in a stealth account and it got hit with a deactivation a week ago for "We were unable to verify information related to your seller account or did not receive any new information regarding your listings or selling history." and request for utility bill and business license. I sent in an EIN IRS letter for the LLC with the proper address and everything and an AT&T internet bill with a creative address modification to make sure it matched.

Then they sent me back:

"We received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your account at this time. In order to reactivate your account, we need to verify your identity.

How do I demonstrate authenticity?
You need to complete virtual identity verification over a video call. To reserve a time slot for the interview, please fill out the form below:

After we receive your response on this form, we will invite you for the interview on one of your preferred time slots.

After your verification interview is complete, we will review the results and respond with the outcome within 3 business days."

This is a stealth account I bought and have no idea the original person who opened the account. I changed everything over to the business a year ago and haven't had any issues until now.

So I have to figure out how to do this Identity Verification. Might need to say I paid someone to set up an amazon account for the business a year ago, but Amazon is finicky as it is...still trying to figure out how to proceed....

Anyone got an advice?

If you admit that you bought the account then you admitted to fraud. I don't see any scenario where you admit to fraud and they give you your funds outside of litigation.

Option 2 will not work at all it’s Amazon not eBay option 3 is simply loosing money without trying so only option left is 1 worth give a try but chances are very slim they require video verification anyway to release the funds

If you tell the truth you will have your other account suspended, either continue the verification or let the account go, they should still pay you the money owed after 180 days.

You have to pay attention when Amazon contacts you.

just upload DL , if the account is stealth you will not be able to go legit

if you do not continue verification you will not receive any funds , if you upload ID and get suspended you will receive nothing either so the outcome would be the same

100% guarantee they will not release any monies after 180 days. No idea where this came from but it's not happening otherwise this thread would be pointless, simply sit back ant wait. Nope.

The reason has already been stated in this thread. IMO the account is dead, there's no way it will pass verification and wouldn't risk jeopardising other accounts over it but I guess you can play along for now with your counterfeit ID's albeit you know where it's leading to - video interview.

Sorry Folks, not been checking the forum until now.

So I went down the route of explaining that the account was purchased from a friend several years ago and I never got around to updating the Amazon primary contact.

They have had all the relevant docs and I asked to transfer account ownership but they are still dragging their heals..

Had an email/performance notification couple of weeks ago "due to feedback from their sellers, Amazon will no longer be with holding disbursements"
maybe like Etsy last year they have been told they cant do that anymore. I kind of hoped that I would suddenly see an influx of funds from all my old stealth accounts that have been suspended and funds never released over the years.
So I had left it at that to see if the funds are automatically released.

20 days later they are still holding it.

One account is holding 12k the other 9k- as far as I am concerned all I have done is circumvent Amazon policy- The funds from all my accounts have always been transferred to my main company account and all VAT and Tax has always been paid.

Ill keep pushing, don't care about the accounts any more they can close them but I really don't want Amazon to keep the funds- Why should they keep 100% when the customer got their products and I had to pay royal mail and my suppliers.
